May 15 Going back to NYC

We flew back last Friday night; we left a bit late and arrived at 1AM Saturday morning (thanks Al for picking us up). It took a few days to get "on time" but not too bad. Saturday we joined my brother John in celebrating his 70th birthday! we visited Kevin and Tamara and then went to Martin O's place to meet with Carolines siblings to go through the final estate of their mother. It was a nice outing as much reminiscing was to be had. Sunday we caught up with friends and other family. On Wednesday Greg and Lynette and kiddies made the drive down from Smithers; it was a nice surprise when Lynette had called last week indicating they were coming down. Yesterday we had a nice BBQ at Al & Tanya's and had some family pics taken in their back yard. We cherish these moments so much these days. Today we meet Jaclyn's boyfriend, Rick Dykstra, for the first time. We will be spending some time with the both of them and dinner later on. Looking forward to meeting Rick! Tonight we take the red eye back to NYC to continue the Journey tomorrow DV
