Atlantic City and Cape May and New York City!

Yesterday we pulled into a park in Pomona New Jersey (about 15 minutes from Atlantic City, the East coast version of Las Vegas) and I have to stay it was the worst so far. How Good Sam could rate this place as high as they did was beyond me. It was a dusty, messy, under kept trailer trash park that I will be writing a very poor rating on Trip Advisor! The pool had very dark water in it and the shower was one of these ones you had to keep pushing the little centre knob every 15 seconds and it was luke warm (should've showered in our rig!). The weather was fairly cold, it reached a high of 10; it felt very homely (not really).
In the afternoon we took a drive down to Cape May on the southern shores; a very nice little beach front town; took a stroll down the old part of town, took some pics and headed back to find a seafood restaurant (we're in lobster country!); we finally decided to try Red Lobster as we've never been to one before. Excellent food and service!
We had initially planned to stay the weekend here but after such a huge disappointment in this park, plus the fact there were very few RV parks here, we decided to head up to New York City; we ended up at a park basically downtown New Jersey across from Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. it is basically a gravel parking lot but a big improvement from the previous night (plus the expectations weren't as high).
It was cold yesterday but warmed up nicely today as we pulled into libertyharborrv.com and settled in. We took the bikes off the rack and headed to Liberty park, the closest land to the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan. Got some nice shots and enjoyed a nice bike ride. Got back in time to watch the afternoon live feed with Rev Dejong.
Pulled out the BBQ and cooked up some nice filet mignon, baked potato and veggies on the fire. A good day!
USA does BIG bridges; and lots of them

Multi million dollar homes on the ocean in Cape May

another beautiful beach on the East coast

 old town in Cape May

Red Lobster was no match for my appetite

16 lanes in New Jersey (we were in the truck and trailer 4 lanes, cars in the ones beside us, then another 8 going the other way!

what a view from our park!!

 Nice memory :)
