Tuesday we drove from El Paso to San Antonio, a long 8.5 hour drive. Thanks to new Blutec technology one must add DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fuel); well the gauge was dropping fast!! thanks to cel phones and roaming data we called a Valero station 15 miles ahead and we bought 8 gallons. Apparently one doesn't need to fill till 20K so I need to keep an eye on this. Wednesday we spent in downtown SA; the Riverwalk!! such a beautiful canal system with shops and restaurants; reminded us a lot of Europe but more modern. We did the hop on/off bus were disappointed. The only highlight was the "space needle". we experienced a 4D movie of Texas with all moving seat, blowing wind in the neck (when a rattler came up close), and a spitting (water) crocodile! ate at a little tex-mex restaurant across the street from our RV park.
